6 Affordable Eyewear Storage Solutions, And Current Favorite Frames
Looking for an affordable, convenient and (very importantly!) stylish way to store your eyeglasses and sunglasses? I’ve got you.
As an avid sunglass collector (and, perhaps also a sunglass hoarder- I can never part with a pair!), I have found several ways to keep my shades organized and at the ready over the years. Now, as the eyewear arsenal in our household expands- I wear glasses and have since high school for seeing distance, my older daughter Alexa wears corrective glasses as well, and now with all the screen time for distance learning, we are adding blue light filtering glasses into the mix- the need for easy-to-access storage solutions is at an all time high. Because if we don’t have a place for them, glasses end up in drawers or on chairs and ultimately get scratched and smashed. And nobody got time (or patience, or money!) for that.
We love these 6 stylish storage solutions for displaying- and protecting- our favorite frames:
1- This Clear Tower holds 5 pairs of frames- I have 3 of these and love them! I even put velcro dots on the bottom of one to keep in the mudroom on a ledge for sunglasses in the summer (the velcro holds the tower securely so that even if my little one pulls at it to steal my oversize shades, she won’t topple the entire stack!)
2- Grey Box with Clear Top looks luxe, keeps glasses contained and neat but also is easy to pick a pair at a glance thanks to the clear top. Love that these are easy to stack too, great for sunglass storage when you have older frames you don’t want to part with!
3- Stackable Acrylic Double Wide Drawers can hold 6 pairs and also has a lip on the top for stacking more units, but works equally well as a vanity tray!
4- Millennial Pink Drawer Stack (other colors available too!) is one of the most attractive storage solutions- the opaque sides keep things looking neat and tidy but the window drawer fronts allow you to easily see what’s what inside.
5- 3 Drawers with Adjustable Dividers can hold 9 pairs in this one compact case, especially great for readers!
6- Diagonal Tiered Stand instantly makes your accessory area look like a high end boutique (and/or one of the Kardashian’s closets!).
Below, a pic of my acrylic eyeglass tower. My favorite eyeglasses currently are these navy ones (fourth pair down in the photo) from Warby Parker and while I was there a few months ago I got this pair too - the ones right beneath the navy pair- which is a different shape than I usually go for but I LOVE them. The other pairs in the photo are old- but feel free to message me if you are interested in similar styles and I am happy to send links (rushing out soon to take Alexa to her dentist appointment, so can’t get it all linked in the post this afternoon!) xx JF
