Gift Guide 2019: Clever Toys For All Ages
There was such a great response to THIS gift guide last week sharing ideas for stylish presents for kids that I decided to throw some more picks out because I know first hand how overwhelming it can be to navigate this category especially when buying for kids that aren’t your own- knowing what is “trendy” or useful or age appropriate is a job unto itself! 1- Go Glam Nail Stamp Kit: Saw this at a holiday gift preview event and can’t get it out of my mind- my girls would go NUTS with this, so easy to use too!
2- Play Doh Slime Set: Slime is still going strong- and this is an Amazon exclusive super size set of yummy colors that kids will go INSANE over.
3- Magic 8 Ball: Never underestimate the joy of a nostalgia toy- any time I bring this as a gift, it keep kids busy for HOURS starting the second they open it!
4- I Got This Game: When I asked Goldie’s preschool teacher for game recommendations, she suggested this- the best game for that 3-6 age range when kids get bored quickly if a game doesn’t involve a fast pace and some physical movement.
5- Baby Alive Boy Doll: I can’t tell you how many times I have heard Goldie and her friends lament about the lack of boys in their baby doll arsenal- there aren’t many out there, and I gotta tell you, when it comes to “babies” , the Baby Alive brand in general makes the most interactive and engaging dolls.
6- Hangman : Best dinner table game, made even better.
7- Areaware Gradient Puzzle: We all have friends who “hate” toys in their house because it throws off the aesthetic- THIS is the gift to get for the kids of said friends.
8- Avocado Smash Card Game : I am having a game moment right now - and everyone who has played this one is totally obsessed- it is great for a range of ages, too.
9- Amazon Echo Rainbow: Love that this is pre-edited to only have kid-friendly content- I plan to get it for Alexa (yeah, I know- having a kid named Alexa is 2019 presents a whole world of Amazon device related challenges- we call ours Amazon, FYI) so she can use it as an alarm in the morning and also to time herself when doing relevant homework assignments.
10- Car Track Play Tape : Great for families that travel, this can turn any room into a playroom.
11- Board Game Kids Tray: Makes every meal fun- and encourages kids to make healthy choices.
