The Best Earrings To Style Multiple Ear Piercings
Currently obsessing over cool earrings- from comfy earrings that I can sleep in to statement-making studs to fill multiple ear piercings (I have 4 on my left ear, and 3 on my right at the moment), lately most of my middle-of-the-night scroll sessions are in search of modern, unique earrings that feel age-appropriate!
In an effort to corral all the earring styles on my wishlist (and, in many cases, on my ears!) into one place for you, we compiled this earring trend report of sorts. Broken up into three categories, hopefully this guide will inspire you to upgrade your ear game.
1- CUTE & COMFY EARRINGS YOU CAN SLEEP IN
With so many holes in my ears, the process of taking them out each night only to replace them the next morning feels tedious! Threader earrings like these which I own from Madewell are a great option. They are sold as a pair, but I only wear a single one at any given time in one ear threaded through 2 piercings. Hey, it is called a threader, right? No reason you can’t style it that way- looks super cool, if I do say so myself. And, since you really only need one if you plan to style it threaded through 2 holes, you can gift the other one to a friend! After my friend Amy kept going nuts over mine, I surprised her by running up to my room, grabbing the other half of the pair, and gifting it on the spot. It’s like the 40-something subtle spin on those “Best Friend” heart necklaces of our youth, ha!
Also obsessed with this set of mini threaders- you get 4 pairs for a crazy good price, fun to mix and match and, of course, these earrings are comfy enough to sleep in!
For a night out, or everyday sophisticated sparkle, these Rachel Reid earrings are my perennial favorite. This wire style is a more flattering version of a hoop, in my opinion. I got them for my birthday a few years ago and get compliments every time I wear them. Plus, after a late night out, I can pour myself into bed with these still on my ears and sleep soundly!

2: TINY STUD EARRINGS THAT MAKE A STATEMENT
I LOVE telling a little story via a selection of fun, tiny studs stacked along each earlobe. This butterfly wing set is currently at the top of my wishlist, it is perfect for “snakebite ear piercing”- which is basically two holes close together midway up the earlobe. I have snakebite piercings on my right ear and I LOVE them because the unique spacing looks very cool with even the most simple earrings, but also can be the perfect place to double up on one style you love or achieve a “2 simple halves make a very cool whole” concept.
Mushrooms are trending big time and this single pave mushroom stud by Pamela Love is sooooo stinkin’ cute, right?

3- UNIQUE & UNEXPECTED EARRINGS
Styles that make people look twice are another current earring essential in my book, and I have spent more time than I care to admit stalking options in this category at every price. In Paris this summer, I saw unexpected architectural earrings everywhere- so of course, I instantly became completely enamored with the idea of twisty, turn-y hoops and such that make it look like you have more piercings than you actually have!
One of the most fun things about these unique earrings is that often times they can be worn in multiple ways- lots of options to change it up on a whim. These wire climbers are a great example- you can pull them all the way through your first holes for a traditional look, or hook it through a second or third piercing half-way, so there is a bit of the earring peeking out from behind the ear as well as in front.
Cuff style earrings that give the impression they are hooked around the ear as opposed to inserted in a piercing are very cool- I love this one from Etsy.
