Edie Parker evening bags

Options for an investment-worthy evening bag have always been slim. I mean, outside of Judith Leiber, I honestly can't think of any brand that has established itself solely in this space. edieThen, Edie Parker came along. And the fashion crystal ball inside my brain predicts that Edie Parker will be to me what Judith Leiber is to my mom- worth every penny.

Launched in 2010 and inspired by the 1950's and 1960's, Edie Parker clutches have one super smart modern-must-have detail that can't be overlooked: generously sized makeup mirrors tucked inside.

The punches of pink on the Jean Retro Stripe {above, left} make it the perfect pick-me-up for a basic black dress- or a white tee shirt and jeans.  Gorgeous neutrals in the Lara Clutch {above, middle} go with absolutely anything- although I am a little obsessed with this version of the same silhouette for a major statement sparkle. And how insane is the Jean Confetti Striped clutch {above, right}?

If you like the whole sculptural statement clutch look but aren't quite ready to splurge on an Edie Parker, check out this one on sale for under $40 at Macy's, or this Halston option which happens to be incredibly well-priced and incredibly glamorous. For a chic-in-a-conservative alternative, I own (and have gifted to several friends) this classic tortoiseshell one. And something about this $50 crazy tribal print purse has me obsessing, and at around $50, it is only a matter of hours before I buy it.
