Best Beauty Buys at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021

It’s that time again- the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! So, here is my take on the sale and the social media swipe up frenzy that follows it— personally, I love seeing all the different influencer picks because it helps narrow down the overwhelming array of discounted items for me in the fashion/kids categories. I don’t have time to scroll through page after page, so shopping from their posts and LikeToKnowIt collages is a time saver- and since I am an avid voyeur of many fashion/home/shopping influencer Insta feeds, I can quickly go to the accounts I know and trust and add to cart accordingly.

The one area of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that I do feel expert in is the beauty exclusives. I was a publicist for Nordstrom Beauty back in my PR agency days, and we spent a TON of time each year working with the buying and marketing teams to learn how the Anniversary Sale beauty offers came to be, and handpicking the best ones to promote. Shopping the beauty deals is a must, because the values tend to be significant and even more than that, it is often the only time you can get bundled sets and oversized versions of the most in-demand makeup, hair, skin and body products from brands we all know and love.

Each year, since 2018, I put up a list of the buys that stand out to me- so, for the fourth year in a row- here it is- a short list of items to add to your cart and/or wishlist (the sale opens up to all on July 28th- and the best way to keep tabs on your faves is by creating a wish list now to shop later- that is my plan!):

1: Supergoop SPF 50 Antioxidant Sunscreen Spray 3 Pack is one of my favorites- and this set is a great deal, making each bottle $14 a pop, on par with drugstore brands (maybe even a little bit less!), and the formulas- and non-aerosol 360 degreen spray technology- are both top notch. (Note: Coola makes an epic spray sunscreen as well, and this 3 pack is just $28 at the sale!)

2: Riki Loves Riki Lighted Mirror is a long time favorite of mine, and discounted BIG TIME (usually $200, but $130 at the sale!) I bought one last year and use it every single day. I love that it is bluetooth enabled and can hold my phone when I want to film tutorials (or watch tutorials and simultaneously do my makeup accordingly!), but the real kicker for me that is relevant to everyone- content creator or not- is the adjustable lighting feature and the slim, easy to take with you anywhere and everywhere, size. It is somehow substantial and travel-friendly all at once!

3: Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath Trio features three universally amazing colors (including best-selling Pillow Talk) for $68- bought on their own, the total for this lip wardrobe would be $105.

4: T3 Professional 1.25” Curling Iron for under $100- this is the easy-to-use, super fast styling tool I use every single time I wave my hair.

5: Necessaire Body Wash & Lotion Combo features 2 of this cult-favorite clean beauty line’s best sellers (both of which are currently in my shower!)- chic packaging and unisex fragrances also make this a smart buy-in-bulk-to-gift find.
