Make a DIY Mask Station In Under 10 Minutes
I can’t believe this DIY actually happened, on so many levels. But having a “mask command center” of sorts in our mudroom right alongside the girls’ backpacks and our car keys is proving to be super helpful for all of us- so figured I would share it. It took less than 10 minutes and has already saved tons of time each and every time we try and get out of the house these days!
I repurposed an old makeup organizer from a company that doesn’t seem to exist anymore, sadly- but I found a bunch of similar pieces for you:
Acrylic Storage Favorites on Amazon - put a bunch of options under $50 here, and you can mix, match and stack as needed based on number of people in your family and the space you have available for set up.
4 Drawer Acrylic Organizer on Etsy - this shop has so many great options that look substantial and durable, take a look!
Next, I took my trusty label maker (THIS is the one I swear by, it has the best font options and is super easy to use), designated a drawer for each member of the family, and put the disposable masks on top which we like to keep accessible in the event girls have friends over and we decide to go out and they don’t have a mask handy, etc.
The “command center” is also where we keep mask lanyards/necklaces and a couple travel-ready hand sanitizers for a quick spritz before heading out the door or to throw in a bag for on-the-go sanitizing.
Having a spot for everything let’s me know what is missing at a glance, and also gives a home base for corralling all the masks and accoutrements that inevitably end up strewn all over the house at the end of each busy day!
Let me know if you have any questions on this, and if you created something similar, would love to learn what you put together so please share in the comments!
