Obé At-Home Workout Review (And Discount Code!)
I was never a “workout at home” girl. I tried so many times over the years to be that girl. But it never clicked. I lacked the discipline to DO IT if I hadn’t signed up in advance, paid a class fee, or committed to meeting a friend at said class to hold me accountable.
My reliance on boutique fitness classes was not only expensive, but it became very inefficient. See, even if a class is 45 minutes, when I factor in the travel time and the chit chat on my way out of the studio, that 45 minutes was actually eating up almost 75 minutes of my day. And, especially this time of year with the holidays approaching, ain’t nobody got time for dat.
Enter Obé- an epic online fitness platform that allows members to access classes across many categories- HIIT, sculpt, yoga, pilates, dance and more (they just added boxing, and trampoline!)- taught by incredible instructors.
If you follow me on Instagram, you are likely already familiar with my obsession- I did a 31 day challenge (just for myself, on a whim) to take a Sculpt class every day in October just to see how it made me feel. Many of you have messaged me asking for a review of all things Obé, so- here it is :)
To keep it brief (since I could talk about why I love Obé so much for hours on end, and in general I tend towards the verbose when I write), my review is in the form of a Top 5 list.
5 Things I Love About Obé:
1- Accountability! The ability to take LIVE classes (and “sign up” for them in advance and import them right into my calendar via the app like an appointment) makes me feel committed to SHOW UP.
2- Flexibility! You can do a live class if your schedule allows (I am a big fan of 6:30am classes)- but if you want to work around your own timing, there are hundreds of on-demand options to choose from- and each week, replay classes from each instructor are added to the mix so there is always a new option. There are 28 minute classes (the standard class time) but also 45 minute #levelup classes and tons of 10 minute express options which are amazing add-ons or for days when you have like 20 minutes and just want to focus on 1 or 2 things, you can build a custom workout.
3- Community! It is incredible how this company cracked the code on making it feel like you are in a boutique fitness studio with a bunch of friends, even though you are alone, in your house, and have never laid eyes on a single person who’s name you hear called out in class.
4- Instructors! As with any fitness studio, we all naturally have our preferences when it comes to instructors. It is like dating- everyone has a TYPE. I haven’t tried everyone or every class, but right now I am loving the sculpt classes from Madeline, Isaac and Michelle B. Walter’s sculpt classes are amazing too- esp on days you need that extra boost of positive energy. Recently I started taking Sarah G.’s sculpt and her music is great. Boxing is also one of the newer offerings on the app- I loved Melody’s boxing class which I tried live last week, planning on doing more in the future. Kat E. leads killer Power classes (which is a version of sculpt using heavier weights)- I did her upper body focused Power replay on Thursday and my arms are just now feeling back to normal. Which is a good thing :)
5- Newness! You can’t get bored, even if you try. I feel like every time I turn around, there are new class categories, or special challenge/#levelup classes to try. Trampoline bounce, Hip Hop Yoga, Barre, choreo classes- no matter what you are in the mood to do on any given day, the option is right there for you.

Note: Obé invited me to be part of their affiliate program, so if you do sign up and use JENN30 please know that I will get a (much appreciated!) commission from your purchase. On a related note, in 2020 I want to be more transparent about these sort of affiliate links and such and sharing how they benefit both myself and my readers, and how it all works. I think in the past I have assumed everyone knew how it all worked when it came to bloggers/influencers and revenue streams, but as the affiliate marketing model evolves and my blog readership grows (woo hoo!), I feel like it is both important and interesting to share these developments. As always, feel free to message me at any time if you have questions about this stuff!
